The jury assesses the companies and their business idea based on:
The competition is open to all entrepreneur-led companies regardless of their area of business. The company must:
We will only accept nominations from incubators and science parks, no companies can apply to the competition separately. The companies that are nominated will be required to provide further information ahead of the competition by filling out an application form.
All nominations must be sent over no later than November 22nd.
Nominations need to include the following information:
The 15 companies who are selected to participate in the pitch contest during February 22-23 will be notified and announced in Techarenans channels no later than December 12th.
By participating, participants will need to (i) agree to Techarenans terms and conditions for participation in competitions and (ii) confirm that the information they submit is truthful. Participants must ensure that they personally or their company owns all submitted photographs, text, and other material. All entries must be received no later than November 22nd.
Competition managers (and external experts, if necessary) review the nominations. All material that is submitted in connection with the competition will be treated as public information. If there are specific reasons why certain information must remain confidential during the initial selection process, then the companies are responsible for notifying the competition managers in the submission form field that asks for additional information.
Qualifying presentations occur on stage before the jury as well as on-site spectators. Competition management reserves the right (if deemed appropriate) to indefinitely use parts of the pitches and footage from the pitches for communication and marketing purposes.
Competition management reserves the right to terminate or modify The Incubator Stars Challenge without prior notification.
The jury’s decision in all phases of The Incubator Stars Challenge is final and cannot be appealed.
Competition management cannot be held liable for any losses or damages suffered by participating companies, as a consequence of participation in The Incubator Stars Challenge.
By participating in The Incubator Stars Challenge, participants agree that competition management may:
Publish and display footage for communication and marketing purposes before, during, and after the competition, where and when appropriate.
Use images, text, and materials that is shared and that is generated during the competition for communication and marketing purposes, for an unlimited period without remuneration.
Share contact details with partners of the Competition.
40 companies will be selected by the Selection Committee to participate live February 22-23, 2024. These 40 companies will need to submit their presentation, if they want to use one, ahead of the live competition to the Competition Committee, in PDF, Keynote or Powerpoint format. No other formats or late submissions will be allowed.
During February 22nd all 40 companies will pitch for 3 minutes with a hard cut-off, followed by 3 minutes of questions from the jury.
The jury will select 6 of these companies to move on to the Final of the competition on February 23rd, where they will pitch for 4 minutes followed by 4 minutes for questions from the jury.
The jury will select a winner that will be announced on the Main Stage.
The competition is open to all entrepreneur-led startup companies that have purchased a ticket to The Tech Arena event. Applications should be submitted on The Tech Arena’s webpage no later than January 12, 2024.
The 40 companies who are selected to participate in The Tech Arena Pitch40 competition during February 22-23 will be notified and announced in Techarenans channels no later than January 31, 2024.
